đź”´SOLD This is a large scale composition measuring 94″ X 43″ of Acrylic on birch ply. It was painted in the spirit of the photo realists of New York of the 1960’s however I did warm the colors from the original image and had to reinterpret the grain of the photographic references that I was using making it more part of the realm of hyper realism, My client is featured in the foreground with his wife and daughter which made for a very unique understated family portrait. Needless to say this was a great deviation from my usual approach to producing visual images but I was up for the challenge after reviewing many examples of this work and thinking through the methodology required to make is a success.
