Isadore Michas is a Greek Canadian artist that has lived in various places in Canada and Europe and now resides in Guatemala. The mediums he uses are primarily acrylic and modeling paste on canvas. Isadore’s experience as an industrial designer has informed his process in that he uses a methodical approach to design and combines the use of a digital medium to compose and proof designs prior to painting. His work is eclectic and the design of his paintings uses various inspirations. Geology, topography, waves and other aspects of nature, combined with an interest for the works of many artists from the Bauhaus movement, play a large role in his compositions. For the most part, Isadore works independently, having sold several hundred paintings all over the world. He has had several solo exhibitions where he resides in Guatemala.
